Itinerary:
This vast open-air museum includes temples, chapels, pylons, and monuments that span centuries, beginning in the Middle Kingdom under Senusret I and continuing through the Ptolemaic era. The complex was dedicated to the Theban triad: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at a tourist restaurant.
Then cross to the West Bank of the Nile to explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, where the richly decorated tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs lie hidden in the desert hills. Visit tombs of great rulers such as Ramses II and, if you wish, enter the famous Tomb of Tutankhamun for an additional fee.
Next, visit the stunning Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as the “Holy of Holies.” This architectural marvel, built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, features three terraces connected by ramps and is adorned with scenes depicting the Queen’s divine birth and her famous expedition to Punt.
The temple is dedicated to Amun-Ra, the supreme deity. Before concluding the tour, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Hear the legends and discover the Roman-era graffiti still visible on their bases. you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Aswan. End of our services.
