Itinerary:

Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel or cruise ship in Luxor by our friendly representative. From there, you will set off on an unforgettable journey through Egypt's golden age.

First stop: the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. During the New Kingdom, the traditional pyramid was abandoned in favor of hidden, rock-cut tombs deep in the cliffs designed to decieve grave robbers and protect royal treasures. As you explore the elaborate chambers and corridors, you will walk the same paths once carved for kings.

Next, you will visit the remarkable Deir el-Bahari, where the dramatic cliffs form a natural amphitheater for two awe-inspiring temples. The oldest, built by King Mentuhotep II, served as both a tomb and a mortuary temple. Beside it stands the elegant temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s few female pharaohs, who ruled with strength and vision. Her temple, with its sweeping terraces and colonnades, remains one of the most iconic structures in Luxor.

The tour continues to the Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues of Amenhotep III that still watch over the plains of the west bank. Though the once-grand temple they guarded has long vanished, these silent sentinels remain a powerful symbol of the past.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a tourist restaurant.

In the afternoon, cross over to Luxor's East Bank and visit the majestic Luxor Temple, originally built as a ceremonial extension of the Karnak complex. This temple is aligned directly with Karnak Temple, once linked by the famous Avenue of the Sphinxes, parts of which have been uncovered and beautifully restored. The temple's massive pylons and towering columns tell stories of ancient processions and divine rituals.

Finally, you will explore the awe-inspiring Karnak Complex, one of the largest religious complexes ever constructed. Dedicated primarily to Amun-Re, this monumental site was a center of both worship and power in ancient Egypt. With its forest of massive columns, sacred lake, and detailed inscriptions, Karnak remains a marvel nearly 4,000 years after construction began.

At the end of this immersive day, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel or cruise, filled with unforgettable memories of Luxor's incredible legacy.
