Day 3: Flight to Aswan – Embarkation – High Dam – Unfinished Obelisk – Philae Temple
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cairo Airport to board your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, assistance at the airport.
Tour the High Dam of Aswan, built in 1960 — one of modern Egypt’s greatest engineering achievements. Its main purpose was to control the Nile’s annual floods, which historically brought both destruction and fertility to the land. The dam enabled Egypt to regulate the river’s flow, provide a steady water supply for agriculture and households, and generate hydroelectric power. It also created Lake Nasser, one of the largest artificial lakes in the world, crucial to the region’s economic and social development.
Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in Aswan’s ancient granite quarries. This enormous monument was carved directly from the rock but was abandoned due to cracks in its structure. Had it been completed, it would have been the largest obelisk ever erected in ancient Egypt. It is believed to have been commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful female pharaohs. The site offers a fascinating glimpse into the craftsmanship and ambition of ancient Egyptian builders.
Continue to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis, one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples. Originally located on Philae Island, it was moved to nearby Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Surrounded by water, the temple remains an enchanting and serene site.
Transfer to your Nile cruise ship in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Embarkation and lunch on board. Sail to Kom Ombo. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4
Day 4: Kom Ombo Temple – Edfu Temple
Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two gods — Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and the Nile, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. The temple’s perfectly symmetrical design, with twin entrances and sanctuaries, reflects this dual devotion. Its location along the Nile makes it both an architectural and scenic treasure. Sail to Edfu. Lunch on board.
Then take a horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Built during the Ptolemaic period (237–57 BC), it honors Horus, who, according to mythology, avenged his father Osiris by defeating his uncle Set. The temple’s walls are covered in detailed inscriptions and reliefs depicting this divine story. Sail to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.
Meals Included :
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner -
Day 5
Day 5: Karnak Complex – Luxor Temple
Breakfast on board. Visit the Karnak Temple Complex, one of ancient Egypt’s most significant religious centers. Located in Thebes (modern Luxor), this vast complex was primarily dedicated to Amun, king of the gods, as well as to Mut and Khonsu, forming the Theban Triad. Expanded by many pharaohs over centuries, Karnak became a monumental symbol of political and spiritual power.
Continue to the Temple of Luxor, built during the New Kingdom and dedicated to the Theban Triad. This temple was the heart of the Opet Festival, celebrating the divine connection between the pharaoh and the gods. The Luxor Temple was linked to Karnak by a ceremonial avenue lined with sphinxes — a breathtaking processional route still partially preserved today. Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
Meals Included :
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner -
Day 6
Day 6: Disembarkation – Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut Temple – Colossi of Memnon – Transfer to Hurghada
Breakfast on board and disembarkation. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the main burial site of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC). This area contains over 60 tombs carved into the rock, including that of Tutankhamun, discovered almost intact in 1922. The beautifully decorated tombs depict the pharaohs’ journey to the afterlife.
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari), one of Egypt’s most unique and majestic structures. Built for Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th Dynasty, this terraced temple blends seamlessly with the cliffs behind it. It stands out for its harmonious architecture and the story it tells of Egypt’s most powerful female ruler.
Then visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, originally guarding his mortuary temple. Each statue stands about 18 meters tall, carved from quartzite, and once marked the entrance to a grand complex now mostly in ruins. In ancient times, one of the statues was said to “sing” at dawn — a phenomenon that fascinated the Greeks and Romans, who named the pair after the mythological hero Memnon.
After the visits, transfer from Luxor to Hurghada in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight.
